WELCOME!
If the scenario above sounds familiar, you've come to the right place!
Hi There! I’m Diane Johnson, an Executive Function Coach with over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher—and I’ve seen firsthand how many bright, capable kids struggle with focus, organization, and follow-through.
I noticed that more and more students were falling behind, not because they didn’t understand the material, but because they didn’t have the tools to manage the process of learning. That’s where executive function skills come in.
I’ve been there myself. As an elementary and middle school student, I had such a hard time focusing, keeping my assignments organized, doing the assignments and turning assignments in on time. Sometimes I’d forget to do it, other times I’d do the work and just never hand it in. I constantly heard, “We don't understand. You’re smart, but you’re not trying; you’re just lazy”—when really, I was just overwhelmed and didn’t know how to manage everything. I'd rather read all day and forget about it all, than deal with schoolwork, and that disconnect followed me for a long time.
This personal experience, combined with my years in the classroom, led me to specialize in executive function coaching. Now, I work with kids, teens and college students to help them build practical, personalized strategies for staying on track—whether that’s managing assignments, organizing materials, breaking down big tasks, or building confidence and independence.
